Area of expertise
I’m an AI and data engineering specialist with an R&D focus on low-resource and sustainable AI architectures.
My work sits at the intersection of AI engineering, data engineering and applied research, with a particular focus in developing AI systems that can deliver strong performance under constrained computational, memory or energy resources. This includes extensive experience taking AI and data engineering challenges from research and prototyping through to practical implementation (including at all TRLs).
Alongside my R&D and industry work, I’m a seasoned university lecturer and assessor specialising in AI and data engineering. I encourage and engage students in pursuit of solutions to real-world problems through collaborations with industry, policy makers and academia. This approach has led to a number of teaching awards and nominations from both students and institutions.
I’m open and keen to collaborate with industry on R&D challenges, applied AI projects and the development of efficient, resource-constrained AI systems.
