About me
Aruna Palipana obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2000 from Loughborough University and continued as a post-doctoral researcher at Loughborough Aeronautical & Automotive Engineering.
Thermodynamics, Thermofluid Systems and Building Mechanical Services are the main modules that Aruna delivers. He works on the UWE - SHAPE (Hong Kong) partnership too.
Aruna is a life member of Sri Lanka Energy Managers’ Association and is trained as a Low Carbon Consultant. He is a qualified first-aider at work, a trained Samaritan, personal development coach and a massage therapist. His other interests are Celtic music, yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, Indo-Chinese astrology, DIY, cricket and backpacking.
