About me
I am passionately interested in all aspects of Mathematics teaching.
After teaching in secondary schools for nearly 20 years, I have gained extensive school pastoral and departmental leadership experience.
I have worked with external agencies on developing the Curriculum for Wales, and as an AoLE member for the Mathematics and Numeracy AoLE Network.
I am currently a Senior lecturer in Secondary Mathematics Education, having joined UWE in July 2021. I have responsibility for tutoring PGCE Mathematics students, as well as teaching on undergraduate mathematics education modules.
My main interest is in the recruitment, training, and retention of excellent Mathematics teachers. I am currently studying for an Ed. D. which looks at the in-service training and autonomy of Mathematics teachers.
