About me

I am the Deputy Tehcnical Manager (research) in the School of Applied Sciences, with responsibility for the management of the research laboratories in the School. I have been working in biological and biomedical research laboratories since 1992 and at UWE since 2000.   Although my role at UWE began as a flow cytometry/cell sorter & confocal microscopy technician, it has expanded over the years to include laboratory management, regulatory compliance and research governance, with particular focus on biological safety and human tissue research ethics & management.
