About me

Worked for a company in Manchester, builders of large diesel engines, various capacities, started as an apprentice and during a twenty-year period moved through engine erection, drawing office, production offices, quality control and finally as the company welding engineer.

Moved to what was Bristol Polytechnic to work on the assembly of diesel engines using robots, took on the management of a European project related to assembly of consumer goods with further extension for assembly of motor vehicles parts and white goods. Eventually working with BNFL on assembly of fuel rods.

I have run several European funded projects, including a ten years project to help industry with robotics, and currently is awaiting the results of an application for funding to pursue work in nuclear industry and a KTP application for a project with a chair manufacturer.

My current position is Associate Professor for Knowledge Exchange with Industry.
