About me
Senior Lecturer in Criminology
I joined UWE in 2019 after completing my PhD at Cardiff University's School of Social Sciences, first working with the Policing Department on the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship before moving to the Criminology Department.
I currently teach a range of topics, including policing, transnational crime, comparative criminology and research methods.
My research interests coalesce around state policing and police reform, particularly community policing, police-community engagement activities, public order policing, liaison (dialogue) policing and the symbolic and expressive aspects of police work.
I am part of the Social and Public Policy Research Group.
Area of expertise
Community Policing; Neighbourhood Policing; Community Engagement; Police Reform
