About me

I am a social and cultural psychologist with a strong focus on research methodology, primarily in quantitative and mixed-methods designs. 

All of my education was completed in Canada: BA from the University of Waterloo (joint honours in History and Psychology); MSc from Western University (Personality and Measurement Psychology); and PhD from York University (Social and Personality Psychology with a diploma in Quantitative Methods).

My research is interdisciplinary, incorporating theory and methods from psychology, sociology, historiography, gender studies, communication science, and data science. My current work focuses on the relationship between national identity and historical narratives and their influence on contemporary sociopolitical attitudes. Other projects and areas of interest have included assessing progressive forms of masculinity, considering stereotype content and the effects of stereotypes on wellbeing, understanding motivation in educational settings, and several topics within media psychology, such as exploring various forms of parasocial relationships. I also work as a statistical consultant, primarily supporting measure development and psychometric analyses. 

I am an active member of the Psychological Sciences Research Group ( <ahref="https://www1.uwe.ac.uk/hls/research/psychologicalsciencesgroup.aspx">PSRG</a>) and foundational to my work is a commitment to Open Science (OSF).
