Mr Justin Vafadari

Much of my teaching and learning is in the field of Critical Education. This involves systematic interrogatation of systems of exploitation and social practices of oppression that marginalise communities. Schooling and Education are the associated lenses as much of my work experience has been in this field. I have been a school teacher, Special Educational Needs and Disablity Leader, Specialist Teacher for Specific Learning Difficulties, Headteacher and School Governor. All of the settings in which I have worked served communities conditioned by socio-economic deprivation, in urban environments and across a broad range of cultural diversity

I am a PhD candidate. My project title is: Racial Equity in Schooling: A Dialectical Critique of Curiculum Leadership. The main focus is a methodology for explaining racial inequalities in schooling.
