About me

Louis Gough is an associate lecturer in Sociology with a keen interest in veganism, animal rights, anthropocentrism and the interconnectedness of nonhuman and human oppressions. A committed vegan and anti-anthropocentric advocate himself, Louis' PhD research concerns the various ways in which vegan advocacy discourse can subvert and/or reinforce anthropocentrism through its representations of nonhuman and human animals and the environments in which we live/are part.
