About me

I joined UWE as an Assistant Support Lecturer in 2020 and am currently employed as a Lecturer in HRM. I am committed to creating teaching environments that enable students to build their confidence and succeed. Since joining UWE, I have achieved Fellow status with the Higher Education Academy and am close to completing the Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice. I am currently completing an MSc in Human Resource Management and am an associate member of the CIPD.

My office hours are Monday 1pm-2pm and Friday 11-12pm. Please contact me via email if you would like to meet with me outside of these times.

Previously, I have worked as a consultant, supporting businesses to develop fair and inclusive policies and practices that are compliant with Home Office tier 2 sponsorship requirements. Prior to entering Human Resource Management, I worked in both public and private healthcare organisations.

Area of expertise

My research interests are in equality, diversity, and inclusion. As part of my dissertation, I conducted research into the social factors that support/ hinder the professional identities of Senior Female Aerospace Engineers. Since joining UWE, I have supported an internal research project exploring the experiences of international students during the pandemic. Currently, I am collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop a framework to support engineering organisations to recruit and retain neurodiverse employees. Funding for this project was granted by the Higher Education Innovation Fund.
