About me
My research focuses on the literature of the American South, particularly the region of Appalachia. My publications include considerations of poverty, environment, race, and class.
My research also involves a range of climate related projects, including running a climate change book club (https://www.thisiswhyweread.com/book-clubs/), and running CPD sessions for Key Stage 3 English teachers on incorporating climate discussions in the English classroom.
I am open to enquiries about doctoral supervision. I am particularly interested in supervising PhDs which concern American Literature, the literature of the American South, or the environmental humanities and climate change.
