About me

My central concern is the way in which students' perceptions of their subject, and of knowledge, affects the way in which they learn. My research and publications show a development of that interest: from an initial focus on perceptions of accounting and of key skills to beliefs about knowledge. This developing understanding of students' ways of seeing the world has supported the development of more appropriate, and supportive, approaches to teaching.

Area of expertise

I am currently involved with the supervision of several Ph.D projects based within accounting education.
